According to Indian media reports, Salman Khan has become the most tax-paying actor in the Bollywood film industry leaving behind the Indian popular actors like Akshay Kumar and Hrithek Roshan during the year 2016 and 2017. He paid the tax of 44 crore rupees last year and this year till 15 March. He opaid the tax of 32 crore rupees last year and according to this account, there is an increase of 39% in his earning.
Akshay Kumar is on the second position with the payment of tax and he paid 29 crore rupees in tax. He paid 30 crore rupees in tax last year. Hrithek Roshan is the third actor, who paid the tax of 25 crore and among the actresses, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor is included in the most tax-paying actresses of the Bollywood film industry.
On the other side, Comedian actor Kapil Sharma surprised the income tax department as the department noticed 206 % more increase in his income. The names of Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and actress Aishwariya Rai Bachchan were included in the Panama papers and their income was not shown.
