On Eid ul Azha, only Pakistani films are available in cinemas. During that occasion, the released films include, “Actor in Law, Janaan and Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai”.
During recent Eid, the Pakistani films presented in cinemas are on the topics of comedy, romance and drama. All the films are liked by people but “Actor in Law” by Nabeel Qureshi and Fiza Ali remained on top. Positive response about the film was shown by critics and viewers while the shows of the film were house full. Positive response about the film was evident on national and international level. Anjum Shahzad’s romantic drama film “Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai” remained at 2nd position. On the last spot, there is film “Janaan” but it received good response fm Britain and is especially liked by youngsters.
There box office results are presented by cinema owners while their speculations are based on social media and public opinion. After the revival of Pakistani film industry, it is the first time that only Pakistani films are shown in cinemas on Eid. So far, business statistics of first 3 days of Eid are not provided by film distributors.
