Jiah Khan (20 Feb 1988-3rd June 2013) was a British-American singer, actress and model who also appeared in Bollywood films. In the 2007 Ram Gopal Verma film “Nishabd”, she made her film debut for which she was nominated for ‘Best Female Debut’ for Filmfare Award. Later in “Ghajini”, which was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2008, she was noted for portraying an independent, modern woman. She achieved significant acclaim in this film with her performance. Sajid Khan’s romantic comedy “Housefull”, which was the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010, was her last movie. With “Ghajini” and “Housefull”, Khan had captured herself into the Bollywood 100 Crore Club.
In the Sagar Sangeet building in Juhu (Mumbai), she was found dead in her flat after hanging herself, apparently.
