Famous Indian actor Om Puri has died. According to Indian media, famous actor Om Puri passes away at the age of 66. The cause of his dead is cardiac arrest. Om Puri’s close friend provided the news of his death on social media and said that he was shifted to hospital after heart attack but he could not survive.
It should be remembered that apart from Indian films, Om Puri also performed in few Pakistani films. He was a supporter of peace between Pakistan and India due to which he was criticized by Hindu extremist organizations while he had visited Pakistan several times.
Om Puri also performed in Hollywood and British films. Due to his versatile and superb acting, the actor was given OBE award and India’s 4th biggest civilian award ‘Padma Shri”.
